About WinA
What is Women in Automotive?
Women in Automotive is an independent national community that connects, supports and celebrates people working in, entering or interested in the automotive industry. It began as a Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce initiative in 1999 and became independently run in 2024. Read Our Story.
Is WinA a national organisation?
Yes. WinA works with people and organisations across Australia while building on its Victorian foundations.
Do I need to work with cars to be part of WinA?
No. Automotive includes trades, retail, manufacturing, engineering, technology, media, motorsport, professional services and many other roles. If you want to connect with the industry, you are welcome.
Who is welcome?
We welcome all genders, races, and religions. The automotive industry belongs to everyone, and change happens fastest when the whole industry is part of the conversation. Read our Inclusivity and Reconciliation statement.
